The I-49/MLK Jr. Interchange marks ArDOT’s second CMGC project through its Alternative Delivery Division and the first in Northwest Arkansas. The project includes widening roughly 2 miles of I-49 from four to six lanes, expanding about 1 mile of Highway 62 to six lanes with a raised median, and constructing a new 15th Street overpass with roundabouts and related street improvements. APAC-Central/SMG supplied 100% of the ready-mix concrete for the project, totaling approximately 13,000 cubic yards.
